We all have a tendency to underestimate ourselves. Call it low self esteem, whatever, we usually don’t put much value in ourselves. I know I didn’t. It’s one thing to be humble or just flat out a nice person, putting others first, but selling yourself short in the process isn’t good.
There are times in life when we feel as though we got the raw deal. Treated unfairly. We use those things as excuses, don’t we? We use them as a crutch. Right away things you want to do, places you want to go with your life become unattainable because things didn’t go your way. You, and I, get stuck.
Seeing past all of that, visualizing what we want and where we want to go, while we lift ourselves up and give ourselves credit (even if some of those in the outside world don’t), is important.
We can’t let all the garbage weigh us down, and make us feel bad. Does it happen? Of course, we’re only human, but we can’t let those things get in our way, stopping us from what we want, and deserve. Time to open our eyes….
