We all experience times where no matter how many bits of advice, no matter how many things we read or see, makes no difference. We’re only human, right? Does that make us bad? I don’t think so. Frustration, depression, anger, and other issues can overpower all the things that are meant to make life easier and more bearable.
Another issue is that in our lives we deal with internal forces, but also external ones. I really couldn’t tell you which is worse. Perhaps the external one would be easier to deal with because you could deal with them head on and eventually they would go away, The internal ones just stick to you, eating away at you from the inside. Either way, it’s not something someone wants to talk about or deal with. I know I don’t.
Do I want to be going through what I’m going through right now? Of course not. But I will say things are better than they were 2 months ago. I think one thing to realize is that you’re never really “out of the woods”. You got to deal with life in all it”s shapes and forms regardless, so why be held back by anything? Why be held back by yourself or anyone else? Moving on requires movement, and if you’re stuck, you’re not going anywhere…
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. – Helen Keller
