Smiling with the mouth of the ocean…

We all have things we are into and things that bring us some sort of joy in our lives. Be it music, movies, certain TV shows, hobbies, etc. Some of these things are shared with friends and loved ones. But, when things go wrong, the fun or joy gets taken out of it. Things in a way become reminders of the negative.

It’s almost as if you are letting someone, or something steal your happiness. Things that once brought joy and comfort, now bring pain, sorrow, and reminders of relationships that once were. Not only do we need to learn not to give away our power, but we also need to learn how not to let people take away our happiness. I know I was falling into that category, but I decided no, I won’t let anyone or anything ruin enjoyable things in my life.

Always stay on the positive side of the fence. Look at things with positivity. Instead of weighing the pros and cons, just focus on the pros. Don’t let other people or situations dictate how you live your life. It’s yours. I know it’s not easy at times, hey, I struggle too. But you have to ask yourself, do I want to be miserable, or do I want to go through life with a smile as big as the ocean?

  1. This post is exactly what I needed to hear. It’s so true. You always have the ability to choose your attitude about things even if the outcome is out of your hands even though that’s really easy to forget when you’re in the midst of turmoil.
